The Moonwalker
Why I made it
To have a board that is very easy to paddle if you master angled take offs a bit. Aimed at noseriding with more manoeuvrability then a classic log.
What it is
The Moonwalker has the same philosophy as the WAD. It has the center width of a classic log but still curve in the nose and tail to encourage turns. Like the WAD it has the wide tail with a good amount of tailrocker to keep the nose lifted while noseriding.
The Moonwalker was born from the WAD and is more aimed at classic footwork, stall, trim, managing speed and noseriding.
The entry rocker is much lower then our WAD model this helps with glide and super easy take offs
The bottom is rolled and goes into a slightly pinched 50/50 rail.
We added a halfmoon tail for control and speed management during the noserides.
The Moonwalker also had the distinctive halfmoon shaped resin work. You’ll be over the moon when you step on the nose!!
Bottom contours: Nose concave: rolled bottem to vee to flat.
Dimensions: 9'0 up to 9'6. 22 3/4 to 23 1/2 wide, 2 6/8" up to 3 1/4" thick
The Story
The WAD was Conceived and tested on one of the Wadden Isles. I surfed it a lot, tested and tweaked it a bit. And then Sophie ordered one and came up with this beautifull name (WAD) for the board.
I wanted a competiton noserider that felt stable to walk, generates speed and didn't surf as lateral/static as a classic log style longboard. There is a small movement of shapers that put wider tails on their competition longboards. This is my take on it. What a day! when you ride it!
What it is
The WAD is a contemporary take on the classic noserider longboard. It was made with speed noseriding and manoeuvrability in mind.
The board has a wide and stable mid section for glide and stable walking to and from the nose. To help the board turn more easily it has some curve in the outline. The boards magic is in the wide tail: Speed and keeping the tail down for noserides.
Bottom contours: Concave in the nose. Vee.
Dimensions: 9'0 22 3/4 to 23 1/2 (available up to 9'6") thickness 2 6/8 up to 3
Why I made it
To have a performance orientated longboard that lets you do the occasional noseride.
What it is
Bread and butter performance longboard that does it all. The salt is for the Noserides, trimming, cross stepping and the pepper for more performance orientated maneuvres. This board was made with performance but still easy wave catching in mind. A little extra tail rocker helps with your noserides and steeper take offs. This board is also easy to carry because of the narrower width.
You can cruise it with a single fin or throw in some pepper with sidebites.
Dimensions 9'0 - 9'6 , 22 1/4, 2 3/4
Why I made it
To make a Simmons style board with some added performance.
What it is
The mini Simmons always has been a small and slippy crazy little board. I did my own take on it by pulling in the nose and tail and scooping out the nose on the deck. Slightly more upright fin template and a bit more toe and cant angle. Like our fishes it is based on the short for turning wide for speed and paddling philosophy. Don't worry about the short size because its sooo wide it has as much (or more) planing surface and paddle power as your 6'0" shortboard.
Dimensions : 5'0 - 20 1/2 - 2 3/8 up to 6'0 - 21 1/4 - 2 1/2
Why I made it
To explore the joys of flatter rocker, noserideable noses and easy paddling without sacrificing maneuverability. To have a board that is fun and serious at the same time. If you're used to riding longboards you will love it. And it might be a gateway drug into longboarding if you ride the shorter boards.
What it is
Super fun midlength with a wide nose and pintail. The entry rocker is almost flat and together with the width it makes the board easy to paddle and helps the board glide and maintain speed. The tail has some kick in the rocker which keeps the flat nose rocker from diving on takeoffs. The tailkick in combination with the pintail makes the board surprisingly maneuverable of the tail. The pintail makes the board sit better in the wave then you would expect from its wide looks. Surf it classic and cruisy with a single fin. or use the sidebites to push into your fins.
Bottom contours: Optional spoon, slightly rolled rails, Spiral vee
Dimensions: 6'4 to 7'2, 2 1/4 to 2 6/8, 20 to 21 3/4
Why I made it
To explore the classic Lis fish template.
What it is
Fish surfboard based on the classic Lis fish template. And the " wide for speed and short for turning" philosophy. The keel fins reduce drag and make it fly. Order it with the fins set further back for more control or set them further forward for the real fish madness.
Bottom/ deck contour. Single concave
Beaked nose
Dimensions: 5'0 to 6,0
